i have been tattooing professionally since 2000, after undergoing an apprenticeship of almost one year in Oshvegas, Wisconsin. honestly, i still consider myself an apprentice to the art of tattooing -- there is still so much to learn. early on in my career i bought a tattoo shop, and eventually bought out the piercing business as well. i strived to make the shop a completely custom tattoo studio --which created quite a following. tattoo collectors cherish exhibiting a tat that they know no one else will have. and above all, that they own a beautiful piece of living art. in 2003 my husband and i moved to New Mexico where i worked at tinta cantina tattoo, in Albuquerque - right on the old Route 66. In 2004 my husband and i opened a shop housing a tattoo and lampworking studio, A-Ok Custom Tattoo & Exonerate Glass Studio, as well as a art gallery in Roswell, NM. i have now made it a goal of mine to tattoo only 4 to 5 days a week and leave the rest of my time open for other art forms. my other art i feel gives me an advantage when designing and tattooing for inspiration and creativity. my portfolio will be growing continuously, so keep a look out for new pics of my original custom work ! |
